Welcome to the Whittier City School District, a Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade school district with eight elementary schools, two middle schools, and one K-8 school. We serve approximately 6,300 students who matriculate into the Whittier Union High School District. Whittier City School District offers advanced technology programs, including 1:1 devices, Apple TV, and innovative instruction to support all students. •The Certificated School Nurse description, responsibilities and duties are defined in the California Education Code. These requirements are met in offering and performing health services to students in grades K-8.
•Applicants must hold a valid School Nurse Services Credential or be eligible for the preliminary credential requiring possession of a baccalaureate from a regionally accredited college or university, and possession of a valid Registered Nurse license issued by the State of California. Bilingual/Spanish preferred.
