QUALIFICATIONS
• California Teaching Credential Single Subject: Music, or Multiple Subject with Subject Matter Authorization Music
• NCLB Compliance: Music
• EL Authorization
• Knowledge and skill in teaching both choral and instrumental music, B.M. in Music Education preferred.
• Strong piano and vocal skills required
• Ability to direct classroom singing from the piano
POSITION
• Elementary Music Teacher Position
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Provide Music Instruction to students in grades 3, 4 and 5 in all eight Elementary schools. (This is a traveling position-must have car)
• Assist in the development of music curriculum based on the California VAPA Standards.
• Develop and execute culminating experiences for students such as recitals, concerts, etc.
• Work closely with the District Arts team and Arts TOSA to implement District Arts Plan.
