Job Description: Reporting to the Senior Director of Programs, the Senior Manager is responsible for the overall project management and development of the EWS Mentor and Career Development Program – for the Tiger Woods Foundation. Overseeing 110 scholars and their mentor the Sr. Manager will be responsible for the implementation and management of the EWS Mentor and Career Development Programs. Other areas of responsibility include student retention, first-generation student support, student and alumni services, collaboration and curriculum development. The successful candidate will be forward thinking, strategic, entrepreneurial, highly collaborative, and skilled at establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with key stakeholders.
This position will be responsible for:
• Use excellent communication skills to clearly and effectively communicate information to internal and external audiences, client groups, and management
• Recruit, interview and train appropriate mentors for scholars
• Advise scholars, alumni and mentors through individual appointments and workshops
• Provide career coaching remote and in-person to scholars and alumni
• Assist scholars and alumni with career exploration and job search needs
• Collect data and develop quarterly internal report of impact
• Research, develop and implement web-based resources to support growing career needs for scholars and alumni
• Partner with academic advisors to promote major-specific resources for scholars
• Develop web and print materials to educate scholars, mentors, alumni and families on career-related topics
• Develop training and professional development materials for scholars, mentors and alumni
• Provide direct advice to third and fourth year scholars on a range of issues including, but not limited to, academic progress, academic support, academic program policies, academic opportunities, career plans, in order to assist them in making appropriate choices and decisions
• Reconcile complex issues and resolve multi-dimensional matters including students in crisis, at risk, or who have other program issues; counsel scholars and mentors on sensitive and confidential, complex or sensitive issues
• Oversee social media updates for Earl Woods Scholarship Program
• Travel 4-6 times per year to meet with mentors and/or scholars
• Other duties may also be assigned
