Behavior Interventionist at Burbank Unified
Requirements / Qualifications
The Behavior Interventionist will administer Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to identified special education students; may attend student progress meetings; develop and maintain treatment logs; supervise and evaluate special education instructional/behavioral staff; perform a variety of clerical and supportive tasks for certificated instructional personnel; learn and apply individual instructional procedures; monitor and redirect student progress regarding inappropriate behaviors and performance; support acquisition of appropriate skills and behaviors; oversee students with special learning needs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Possess a Bachelor’s degree in the area of psychology, child development or related field. Two years of experience working with students with special needs, including students with Autism and some demonstrated experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)-based behavior intervention techniques. Experience in observing and charting student behavioral data. Experience in implementing Intensive Behavior Intervention techniques. LICENSE: Positions in this classification require the use of personal transportation, and the possession of a valid California Class C driver's license. Also, requires the ability to be insured at standard vehicle liability and property damage insurance rates and maintain insurability. This position may require employee to drive personal vehicle to assist students at more than one school during the work day.
