Carousel Preschool and Infant Center have been in operation since 1984 and provide Early Childhood Education and care in the Los Angeles LAX local community area. Carousel Preschool serves children birth through 5 years old in a nurturing, stimulating, and family-centered environment where the cultures and special needs of children and families are included, embraced and supported. Carousel Preschool is in search of a Teacher Aide who is able to recognize children's' needs to learn basic academic skills, explore the world around them, achieve independent living and thinking skills, enjoy the learning experience, and become responsible citizens in an ever-changing world.

Carousel School is a Non Public school program providing services to Pre-K through 12th grade students. We are located in West Los Angeles, near LAX airport. Carousel has been featured on 60 Minutes and NBC for our nationally-renowned program and our innovative work with children with special needs.
We are looking for:
An energetic and patient 1:1 Behavioral Aide who is willing to work collaboratively within our interdisciplinary team to help provide continuity in the child’s educational program.
Minimum Qualifications for Behavior Aide are:
BA or BS Degree in Psychology or child related field. (HS Diploma with Experience can substitute)
Fingerprinting upon hire /Health Screen/TB Test.
Willingness to work in a flexible environment.
Experience in a special ed. classroom is a plus.
Must enjoy children, have patience and a positive attitude.
All positions are in need of a person who can be structured, steadfast, patient, sympathetic, and disciplined.
Carousel Schools primarily serves students with Autism, but also ADHD, ED, and MR students. You will gain invaluable hands on experience, training in tutoring, skill building, behavior tracking and positive behavioral intervention. Carousel school is an NPS School, working with special needs students up to age 22 with a Moderate to Severe Diagnoses. Carousel also has an Adult Day Program who provides services for adults with special needs ages 22 to 55. This position offers a great opportunity for someone interested in working with the disabled population for both experienced and inexperienced workers. Come help us make a difference in the lives of our students and clients. As a behavioral aide you will work directly with the students and/or clients, giving you an opportunity to gain valuable insight into the special education field. You will work closely with our teachers, behavioral supervisor as well as our speech and Occupational therapists to help bridge the gap between the students educational, social and behavioral goals.
The ideal Candidate is someone with a true passion for working with and helping special needs students. High energy is a must. They are someone who is reliable and punctual as our students depend on continuity every single day.
