The BHS I in this position will be assigned District-Wide for support for students to access during behavioral escalations, unsafe behaviors and/or persistent and repetitive disruptive and non-compliant behaviors. The BHS I in this position will be a part of the team which includes a BHS II and Special Education Teacher. Responsibilities will include behavior management, including physical restraint during emergency behavior incidents, consultation with educational and mental health staff, and Medi-Cal billing for services provided to students. The District team, including the BHS staff, also plans and facilitates multiple school-wide positive behavior support activities to support a positive school climate and positive student behavior. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: All applicants must have: • Possession of Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential with authorization in School Psychology, School Counseling, or School Social Work • Master’s Degree in behavior analysis, psychology, counseling, education, or related field (attained or in progress) • Valid CA Board of Behavioral Sciences Examiners (BBSE) MFT Intern license, or Associate Clinical Social Worker ACSW, or license eligible • Experience working with behavioral health programs DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: • One year experience working with a Special Education Local Plan Area or school district operations • Experience in Medi-Cal charting • Experience working in the behavioral health plan process Bilingual Spanish is desirable, but not required.
