Colfax Elementary School District is located just 5 minutes off Interstate 80 along the Bear River in the Sierra Nevada foothills just below the Tahoe National Forest. Our one-school campus serves students in grades TK-8 with about two classes per grade level. We are small enough that we know each other’s names but large enough to have excellent educational and enrichment opportunities for our students. At Colfax Elementary, we are committed to providing our children with superior academic instruction that aligns with 21st Century learning skills to build problem-solving, collaboration, critical thinking, and a global perspective. Our families, our staff, and the community partner to provide instructional programs that challenge, motivate and equip our students to be leaders in our world.
