Requirements • Be a Practicing Catholic with knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith • Be committed to the mission of Catholic education • Desire to share Christ with the children, the staff and the parents • Love and desire to meet the needs of young children with tender care • Present a warm and welcoming countenance for the parents • Adhere to the minimum requirements for Catechist Certification as set forth by the Diocese of Monterey • Have a minimum 12 ECE Units • Have experience with California State Department of Licensing. • Have experience with lesson planning. • Be proficient in educational technology, including Microsoft Office Suite, and have a willingness to integrate new technology into the curriculum • Have experience as a Preschool Coordinator. • Experience overseeing Preschool staff. • Be certified in Child CPR and First Aid • Be able to sit, stand, squat, walk, reach, lift and carry up to 35 pounds • Meet the “Basic Requirements for Teachers in Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Monterey” posted at https://dioceseofmonterey.org/opportunities-in-our-schools) -Provide answers to Supplemental Questions (below) -Provide Employment Verification and Release forms Supplemental Questions As part of the application process, teacher candidates are asked to submit written responses to the following: 1.
