Job Description / Essential Elements:    Print   


  • Maintain and facilitate access to data in the Aeries Student Information System, and support district staff, site staff, and related organizations with their Aeries functions, including: 

    • Flex scheduling - planning and processes

    • Grade reporting and report cards 

    • Access to parent, student, and teacher portals

    • Aeries Communications (ParentSquare)

    • Aeries online registration process and enrollment portal maintenance

    • Teacher gradebooks

    • Aeries security accounts and settings

    • Aeries system maintenance, including annual system rollover, and troubleshooting problems as they arise

  • Serve as primary CALPADS administrator

    • Manage all required district and site data in CALPADS; oversee compliance with all required reporting and certifications

    • Coordinate with district and site personnel to ensure Aeries, SEIS, and CALPADS data is accurate and current

  • Serve as LEA Coordinator for TOMS (CAASPP/ELPAC user system)

    • Manage all required district and site data in TOMS; includes setting annual testing window dates, student test assignments, user accounts, student test settings, and reports

  • Directly prepare, or assist staff in preparation of, data for other state and federal surveys and reports, and assist in uploading and completing reports, such as CBEDS, CRDC, CFT, and EEOC.

  • Provide assistance to Technology Director in supporting District's technology needs, both hardware and software

    • Assist with provisioning, inventory management, and distribution of equipment, including student and staff devices

    • Assist with provisioning and management of student and staff accounts

    • Collaboratively identify and implement improvements to District processes and platforms

  • Alongside Technology Director, provide direct support to all district, site, and foundation staff, and district families as needed

    • Assist with helpdesk tickets, answer questions and provide support

    • Assist with basic technology troubleshooting

    • Maintain and expand internal and community-facing documentation & training materials

Credentials/Certificates/Education/Experience Required or Desired

  • Technical proficiency using MS Office and Google applications, particularly an ability to work with and manipulate spreadsheet data in MS Excel and/or Google Workspace (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets)

  • Excellent communication, organizational, documentation, and time management skills; patience and kindness are a plus; bilingual a plus

  • Able to rapidly learn and adapt to new platforms and systems

  • Experience with any of these applications and data collection systems is highly desirable: Aeries, ParentSquare, CALPADS, CBEDS, CAASPP / TOMS, ELPAC / TOMS, CRDC, EEOC, Google Workspace, SQL

  • Experience providing technical support, both software and hardware, to end users is also highly desirable
