•Education: Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science or a technology related field from an accredited college or university and/or equivalent work experience in areas outlined above. •Advanced degree in related field preferred. •Experience: Five (5) years of experience managing a technology related operation, including supervision of staff. •Three (3) years of experience working in an information technology environment in a California school district or County Office of Education desired.           IMPORTANT COMMENTS: •Current employees: Please email Karla Montano at kamontano@kern.org with any questions regarding the required documents. •After the filing deadline, all candidates will be notified by email if they do or do not qualify to take the written exam. •Candidates must achieve 70% on the written examination to qualify for an oral interview. Examinations will be weighted 30% for written and 70% for oral. Candidates must obtain a composite score of 70% or better to qualify for the eligibility list. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Some positions may require proof of privately owned automobile insurance and possession of a valid Motor Vehicle operator’s license which must be maintained for the duration of the assignment. Fingerprint clearance by both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met. Must present verification of completion of Child Abuse Mandated Reporter training or obtain verification within six (6) weeks of hire and annually thereafter, as required by the California Child Abuse Neglect Reporting Act.
