We are seeking an engaged, knowledgeable, innovative, and enthusiastic leader to take on the position of High School Principal to run the day-to-day operation of the Summit View School, Valley Glen Campus. Summit View School is for students with learning differences and/or ADD/ADHD in grades 2 through 12. The school’s mission is to provide students with effective individual pathways to educational success and, in doing so, is dedicated to recognizing the unique strengths, aptitudes, and natural gifts of each child. A commitment to maximizing student’s potential and performance forms the foundation of the school’s educational program.

DUTIES INCLUDE: • Ensure compliance with school district policies and procedures • Hire, orient, train, supervise and evaluate teaching staff • Coordinate scheduling • Transition new students into school program • Work with students & parents when behavioral issues develop • College & Career Counseling • Attend student Individual Education Program (IEP's) • Serve as liaison to parents and school district • Manage curriculum and reinforcement • The Principal should meet routinely with teachers and work closely with the Director of Curriculum to create professional development opportunities • The Principal should remain current with best practices on educating students with learning differences
