Job Summary
This position is a pool which means that it stays posted continuously due to positions frequently becoming available throughout the school year. JOB SUMMARY The Campus Monitor observes and supports students during lunch and passing breaks to ensure a safe, secure and comfortable environment conducive to student interaction and learning. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions Ongoing Activities Supervise students during lunch/recess and passing periods, including enforcing school rules school boundaries, and school behavior expectations Ensure a safe environment in the lunchroom, school grounds and parking lot Work with other school staff to ensure sufficient level of supervision coverage in all areas of the lunchroom, school yards and parking lot Help mediate and resolve conflicts between students Administer first aid as needed Manage computer logs and complete accident reports Help keep the campus clean Identify any major security or safety hazards and major repair needs in the recess area and ensure safety rules are followed Additional: Demonstrate knowledge of, and support, the Aspire Public Schools mission, vision, value statements including antiracism, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum educational level: High school diploma or equivalent First Aid and valid CPR training Experience required: 1+ years experience observing and supervising K-12 students preferred Ongoing behavior management and de-escalation training Physical requirements: Stand, walk or bend over, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, grasp, push, and pull. Move, lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds to shoulder height Repetitive use of hands (i.e. fine manipulation, simple grasping, and power grasping) Demonstrate normal depth perception Sitting, walking or standing for extended periods of time

Compensation: $21.00- $38.04 per hour, based on years of experience
"25-26" School Year salary schedules will be updated in February 2025
