Sylvan Learning Center located in Mountain View, California is looking for Part-Time English Teachers / Tutors. We are seeking highly motivated teachers with an enthusiastic approach & ability to develop a strong rapport with students. To qualify, you MUST have a Bachelor's degree or Masters degree and a Teaching credential from any state (current or expired). Teachers can setup their own schedule according to availability.

Instructors will:

<> Teach students in a low 3:1 student-teacher ratio that allow for personalized lessons.
<> Effective pre-planned lessons delivered on iPads.
<> Use proven methods developed by educators aligned with common core and state standards.
<> Motivate students of all ages to excel academically

Subjects taught at Sylvan include :

* Reading (all levels PreK-12)
* Writing (all grades including College level)
* Math (elementary through Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, AP-Calculus)
* Study Skills
* SAT Prep / ACT Prep
* Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
* STEM - Robotics and Coding / Programming for Kids

Teachers are assigned subjects & students based upon their teaching credentials & experience. For this position, we expect the teacher can deliver Academic reading and writing to students of different levels. Part-time positions: After school hours (Mon-Fri 2:30-7:30pm & Sat, Sun 8:30am-5:30pm). Tutoring is offered at our Sylvan location year round and Sylvan offers extended hours during summer.

You can setup your own schedule according to your availability. It's a great job with great flexibility! Pay rate is $16~$25/hour depends on experience and subjects.
