Program Manager-After school programs (San Jose)

Sylvan Learning Center in San Jose is now hiring a part-time Program Manager for our after-school tutoring program for multiple schools in San Jose. We are looking for a person to ensure success at every site by managing the program staff, overseeing site operations, meeting all deadlines and working with the Director to achieve quality assurance in every contract.

The ideal candidate has/is:

• Bilingual (Spanish) -- must!!
• Bachelor degree
• Experience coordinating educational programs.
• Effective communicator
• Multi-tasker, problem solver, and detail oriented.
• Reliable transportation

Main Responsibilities:

• Assist in recruiting and hiring teachers and site coordinators
• Establishes, communicates and meets all site deadlines
• Conducts marketing and public relations activities to support program
• Builds and maintains relationships with school principals and school administrators
• Responds to parent and student inquiries and concerns
• Coordinates enrollment and assessment process for all students at assigned sites
• Oversees student progress and makes necessary changes to assure student achievement
• Supervises reporting process
• Will serve as back-up substitute teacher
• Participate in staff meetings and work with management to improve the effectiveness of the program at each site

This is a temporary (6 months) part time position (25-30 hrs/week).

Compensation: $18/hr + bonus
