REQUIREMENTS: All applicants must complete a packet and return by appointment only. *Valid appropriate Teaching Credential or B.A. degree and Basic Skills (CBEST or valid exam) *TB Test within 60 days *$50 fee for fingerprints *Online Child Abuse Training For an appointment, please contact Brandy at 530-225-0202 or bthornton-mcdaniel@shastacoe.org.

Substitute Teacher positions are available throughout Shasta County, but can be customized by grade level, district or school.
Substitute Teachers are needed in general education, special education or alternative education. Teachers may instruct students in a classroom, individually and/or in small groups in accordance with each school district's policies and procedures; follow lesson plan, implement, and evaluate learning programs and activities in assigned teaching areas; document daily activities and forward to primary teacher upon their return.
Substitute teachers may sub up to 30 days for each general education teacher and up to 20 days for each special education teacher per school year. Long term sub positions are available only to qualified credential holders.
