Classroom Teachers
The School seeks particularly well-educated, articulate, and talented teachers that can explicitly convey knowledge to students using both traditional teaching methods based on proven methods and is tech savvy.
Teacher candidates at Beacon Classical Academy must be fluent Spanish speakers have experience with and/or have a high interest and willingness to be trained in Classical Education, knowledgeable in the study of Western tradition through history, passionate for classical literature, philosophy, and the teaching of fine arts.
Experience with Singapore Math is highly preferred.
English language development experience is required.
Facility with Latin, Greek or French is highly desired.
Teachers with the ability to support parent development is an important assest.
Credentials
Teacher candidates must meet all California credentialing requirements in all academic subjects and must hold a multiple subjects teaching credential, CLAD/LDS, BCLAD or BCC certificate and permits required under the charter law and mandates of No Child Left Behind (NCLB) as a highly qualified teacher.
In addition to a multiple subject credentials, single subjects in math, reading, music, science, physical education or specialist or pupil services credentials, i.e, resource specialist and counseling are highly preferred.
Charter school experience and familiarity with independent study programs and requirements is also highly desired.

Comments and Other Information
Candidates selected must be available to start training on July 11 through July 25. Ability to attend training is an employment requirement. A total 196 hours of training throughout the year will be compensated additionally at $35.00 an hour and leadership stipends will be offered above the yearly salary. School begins on Tuesday July 26, 2016.
