The San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD), the highest performing large urban school district in the state of California, is seeking a pool of qualified School Lunchroom Helpers for fiscal year 2013/2014. The Student Nutrition Services Department (SNS) supports SFUSD by providing meal service through the National School Lunch Program for 105 K-12 schools and 6 charter schools. At these schools SNS serves over 6,000 breakfasts, 23,000 lunches and 7,000 After School Snacks. We're looking for passionate people who share our commitment to providing healthy and balanced meals, dedication to excellence and improving the food service experience in our schools. Must have a Food Handler Card (Food Safety Certification). These positions are temporary exempt (TEX) appointments. Only those applicants who most closely meet the needs of the department will be invited to participate in the selection process. Applicants meeting the minimum qualifications are not guaranteed advancement to the next step in the selection process. The San Francisco Unified School District is committed to maintaining an educational environment where all persons who participate in school programs and activities can work and learn together in an atmosphere free of all forms of harassment or intimidation.
