Antelope Valley College invites applications for our adjunct (Temporary, part-time) faculty applicant pool for the following: Theatre Arts Instructor.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

Instruct students in the assigned discipline

Assignment may include teaching courses during the day, evening, on-line courses and/or off-campus sites

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Applicant Must meet one of the following requirements:

Master's or Master of fine Arts in drama/theater arts/performance OR Bachelor's or Bachelor of Fine Arts in drama/theater arts/performance AND Master's in comparative literature, English, Communication studies, speech, literature or humanities OR the Equivalent.

Antelope Valley College Equivalency: Senate Approved 7/2/26

Any Master's degree AND at least 5 years of experience in theater direction, technical theater direction, and/or musical theater direction

OR

Any Masters' degree ad current possession of California Single Subject Theater Teaching Credential

OR

Bachelor's or Bachelor of Fine Ars in drama/theater/performance AND a masters' with at least 30 upper division and graduate credits in drama/theater arts/performance with a minimum of 15 of these at the graduate level

AND a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students (tit. 5 § 53024.1).
