Description: The Proposition 28 Theater Aide will support teachers and students in Drama. Scope of Duties: ? Lead music rehearsals with pit orchestra and cast for Spring Musical ? Assisting with assembling pit orchestra of instrumental musicians Job Responsibilities: ? Facilitate student and/or community involvement in Spring Musical ? Rehearse groups of students as needed in the areas of choreography/dance, music, or acting ? Provide extra support for students ? Support and assist classroom teacher in implementing lesson plans & rehearsals ? Monitor, document and report on activities as needed Desired Skills and Experience: ? Artistic Background ? Professional or Industry Experience in Drama, Music or Dance (performance, teaching, etc.) ? Background and/or familiarity with theater, dance or music ? Experience working with grade 6-12 students ? Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations including youth and adults ? Strong oral and written communication skills, including public speaking skills ? Ability to work independently and be flexible
