Job Summary
The East Side Union High School District (ESUHSD) seeks a skilled and passionate instrumental music coach to work with one or more of the district's high schools Marching Band programs. Throughout the production, the coach will work alongside the credentialed teacher at District High School, supporting students of varying skill levels. This role includes rehearsal preparation, instruction, and performance support at one or more school sites, contributing to a high-quality production for a diverse student body.
Requirements / Qualifications
Qualifications/Certifications: •Experience with teaching Marching technique •Experience in Wind and/or Brass pedagogy, rehearsal planning and implementation. •Experience teaching high school-aged students. •Experience teaching small and large group instruction.
Must complete Edjoin online application, and submit Resume and Letters of Recommendation/Reference. Selected candidates must pass fingerprint clearance and provide current TB test results PRIOR to employment.

•Assist teaching all aspects of Marching basics to all wood wind and brass members.
•Direct sectionals for woodwinds and/or brass members.
•Attend and assist director at rehearsals.
•Attend and assist at performances as scheduled with the director.
•Stay advised as to the director's goals and agendas as to the timelines/deadlines for materials to be produced and/or learned by the students.
•Foster student creativity, discipline, and teamwork in a culturally responsive and inclusive environment.
Other Duties/Responsibilities:
Seasonal tied to a specific season or production
Marching Band=One season/production
Winter Percussion=One season/production
