OPENING DETAILS: Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day Work Hours: TBD Salary Range: B (Classified Supervisor and Managers salary schedule) - New employees to the district will begin at Step-I BASIC FUNCTION: The Public Information Officer serves as the District’s lead strategist and coordinator for internal and external communications. Under the direction of the Superintendent, this position develops, implements, and manages a comprehensive communication program that ensures accurate, timely, and transparent information is shared with all stakeholders.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This is an in-person, on-site position requiring regular presence at District offices, schoolsites, and community locations; frequent interaction with staff, students, families, media, and community stakeholders; occasional evening and weekend work required for Board meetings, events, and emergency communications; may be required to respond to urgent communication needs outside of standard workhours
