Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the supervision of an Area Coordinator, plans and provides language, speech, and hearing services to school districts in Sacramento County. Services may include consultation and direct therapy with students having mild to severe language disabilities as well as working with school staff, families, and related personnel. In the Infant Program the Language, Speech and Hearing Therapist provides case management services, Duties may vary according to assignment.

Requirements / Qualifications

Possession of or qualify for a California Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) Services credential, waiver, or CA state SLP license. For waiver applicants, please indicate current status toward program enrollment or progress toward license. Minimum qualifications for the waiver are: 1) Bachelor’s degree in speech pathology or a closely related field, and 2) Proof of application, acceptance or enrollment or completion of an ASHA accredited Master's degree program in Speech Language Pathology. Out-of-state candidates may qualify for a California speech license via current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence or current license issued by another state.
