Under general supervision, to perform duties involved in the safe preparation, handling and serving of food; to clean and sanitize cafeteria equipment and facilities; and to do related work as required.
Requirements / Qualifications
Prior experience in food preparation and serving is desirable, preferably involving institutional portions and procedures; equivalent to completion of twelfth grade; or any combination of training and/or experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities. *Must be able to pass the district's Food Service Worker exam.

Upon offer of employment, individuals will need to complete an application for a criminal background clearance through the Department of Justice. Authorization to employ cannot be granted according to state law until the criminal background clearance from DOJ has been received. *Cost of fingerprinting will be the responsibility of the appointee.
Tuberculosis Test (TB): Must furnish certificate showing proof of being free from active tuberculosis (certificate must be within 60 days of offer of employment)
Also, upon offer of employment, the District will assist individuals in obtaining the required Food Handler's Certificate.
