The Southern Humboldt Joint Unified School District crosses two counties, Mendocino and Humboldt, in the heart of the redwoods, extending from remote, mountain areas, to the Eel and Mattole River valleys, to Kings Range and out to the Lost Coast of the Pacific Ocean. Requirements / Qualifications
SUMMARY Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks installing, modifying, maintaining and repairing District buildings and grounds and their electrical and mechanical systems, and operates and maintains water supply and purifications systems at several district sites. Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Experience: One to three years of related experience and/or training. Licenses: Possession of a valid and appropriate California Driver's License Please review attached job description.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/ or ability required. This position involves a good deal of travel about a large, rural school district with both central and isolated school sites. There is an unusual degree of independence to this position, requiring good judgment and work discipline, and the ability to operate successfully without direct supervision.

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the Director of Maintenance and Operations, and the supervision
of the School Site Principal; to follow a schedule in the performance of custodial duties
required to maintain assigned rooms, equipment, buildings, and adjacent areas in a clean,
orderly, and secure manner.
