Job Summary
The Lawndale Elementary School District is hiring for an Elementary Language Arts Specialist for the 2025-26 school year. Certificated employees accumulate one paid sick day per month of employment. In addition, Lawndale ESD pays 100% for employee health/welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc). Dependent coverage is at a cost to the employee. Lawndale ESD - Building Brighter Futures!
Requirements / Qualifications
- Current and valid California Multiple Subject Credential or Single Subject English, and possession of Reading Specialist Certificate authorizing service as a Language Arts Specialist - A Minimum of three (3) years of full-time classroom teaching experience - An advanced degree and/or credentials in reading, assessment, curriculum/instruction, etc. (Preferred/Desired) - Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish (Preferred/Desired) - Three (3) current letters of recommendation (dated within the last 12 months, no supervisor required) - Copy of Transcripts (Conferral of Bachelor's degree) - CBEST Test Results or equivalent - Current Resume - Letter of Introduction SPECIAL NOTE: Applications submitted without the required attachments will be screened out. Current LESD candidates should submit a reassignment request form (with required documents) by the closing date/time.
