Poway High School is seeking applications for the 2025-2026 school year for a vacant Assistant Robotics Coach position.

Three (3) Letters of Recommendation Poway High Assistant FTC Coaching Position Description: The Poway Robotics Assistant Coach will run the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) program under the leadership of the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Head Coach at the School. Meetings will be Wednesdays from 5 to 9 pm weekly throughout the school year and attending several league competitions in the fall and winter plus a possible regional and championship. You will also participate in mentoring students on the team by teaching all aspects of robotics to all members in FTC and FRC. You will additionally be expected to mentor FRC students and assist in the building of FRC and FTC robots in both seasons. During the FTC and FRC seasons you will be expected to be at the shop to open doors and chaperone/lead students building a robot as part of a design team on Saturdays as needed. During the FRC season you will be expected to chaperone students at events and also be at the shop on Saturdays to build robot for the first 7 weeks starting at the 1st Saturday of the year.
