DUTIES STATEMENT: The Environmental Health Care Facilities and Maintenance Instructor must have five (S) years of work experience in the area of Environmental Health Care Industry. The applicant will possess the skill to maintain the highest cleaning and sanitizing standards. Applicant must have the proper techniques necessary for the use of equipment in the Environmental Health Care facility operation including different types of floor buffers. Extensive knowledge in maintaining environmental and infection control standards within the established policies and procedure of health care facilities. BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY: The Environmental Health Care instructor is responsible for preparing students for careers in the Environmental healthcare industry, providing technical instruction relevant to the actual work environment using the prescribed course and curriculum, exercising methods of retention of students, working in harmony with the institution's goals and objectives. Work involves occasional bending, and lifting of 60 pounds or less. Perform duties to Responsible for activities which consist of collaboration with specified personnel and plans to develop a schedule of Environmental Health Care cleaning of patient rooms for deep cleaning and maintenance cleaning. The Instructor determines production schedules and worker-time requirements to ensure timely services required in the Health Care industry. The instructor will provide estimates, costs, requisitions supplies and equipment to ensure efficient operation. The instructor evaluates and solves procedural problems to ensure safe and efficient operations in the Environmental Health Care Facility. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES: Develop, evaluate, and revise programs, courses, and objectives to ensure instructional and programmatic responsiveness to the occupational and academic needs of students, and to ensure instructional quality as demonstrated by student's achievement of competenc

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Instructor should have knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Have the ability to work with various types of audio visual equipment and software. The Instructor should also have a good working knowledge of maintaining student records, attendance and dealing with sensitive information. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: The Instructor may be standing and moving throughout the Health Care Facility during prolonged periods of time. Instructor may be required to lift items weighing up to 60 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold appropriate valid California Adult Education Teaching Credential. Must pass San Diego Sheriff's Department Background Check Clearance
SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Immediate supervisor may assign other duties. May be required to work outside regular working hours. The employee may be required to work at a different work site as needed. 35- 40 hour week position.
