Under the supervision and guidance of the Construction Foreman and Construction Manager, complete a variety of construction projects under Bond funding. Up to 40 hours per week

Requirements / Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: Controlled Substance and Alcohol Testing Program All persons hired for a position that requires driving a District vehicle for which the District pays the license fees must have a Valid California Driver's License and participate in the District Drug and Alcohol Testing Program. Credential and/or License: Valid California Driver’s License Education: Education equivalent to the completion of the 12th grade Knowledge and Abilities: · General construction experience, including but not limited to painting, landscaping, welding, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, etc. · Ability to understand and follow directions · Ability to read blueprints

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: · Perform construction work as assigned (painting, landscaping, welding, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, etc.) · Perform clean-up of construction · Maintain a safe work environment at all times REPORTS TO: Construction Manager and Construction Foreman. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Temporary (while work exists) PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the essential functions and responsibilities of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms and speak and hear effectively. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
