Job Summary
Under the overall supervision of the site principal, with the direct supervision of the CTE teachers. Employee will assist the CTE teacher with instruction, group learning, shop safety, and assist students in a CTE shop or classroom, maintain and repair equipment, design, develop and build instructional materials, perform a variety of supportive duties for certificated employees and students in accomplishing learning objectives; perform other duties as assigned. Job duties may be specific to CTE, including the ability to use power tools, woodworking machines, and welding and may require training. Assistant may also be assigned to drive CTE students to Redding to attend ROP classes. Continued employment based on grant funding.
Requirements / Qualifications
High school diploma required. Ability to operate a variety of audio visual, office, and school equipment; basic principles and concepts of math, woodworking, metalworking and shop safety. Valid CA Class C Driver's License is required. Must have one of the following: AA Degree 48 units from an institution of higher learning Pass a formal state or local academic assessment Employment contingent upon clear fingerprints, drug test, physical and TB test results.
