Welcome to the Santa Maria-Bonita School District website. We are the largest school district in Santa Barbara County with about 17,500 pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade students. In the heart of the coastal agricultural area, we celebrate our families and the support they provide to the students of the District. Job Summary
Job Summary
BASIC FUNCTION Under the direction of the Superintendent, serve as a confidential secretary and administrative liaison and perform highly responsible and confidential secretarial and administrative assistant duties to relieve the Superintendent and Executive Assistant of a variety of administrative details; coordinate communications and information; interpret policies and regulations to officials, staff and the public. Assist Executive Assistant in performing highly complex, technical, and confidential secretarial and administrative clerical functions. Serve as a liaison between Superintendent office and for non-English speaking parents, and community groups.

1. Letter of Introduction 2. Current resume 3. Two (2) Letters of recommendation, signed and dated WITHIN ONE YEAR. 4. Verification of Education. (Official transcripts, or a copy of an earned degree from higher education).
QUALIFICATION SUMMARY: (refer to the attached job description for complete information) Education – Any combination equivalent to: Associate's or higher degree in public administration, organizational management, or public relations. Experience – Three years of increasingly responsible secretarial, administrative aide, or community liaison experience. Bilingual in Spanish and English required and multilingual preferred.
