Oak Grove School District has a total student enrollment of approximately 8,690 from grades TK-8. There are 15 elementary schools and 3 intermediate schools. Six out of seventeen schools receive Title I funds. Schools range from the highest student enrollment (730) to the lowest student enrollment (269). The percentage of English Learners is 29% representing 56 languages spoken in the district. Oak Grove School District’s focus is driven by the LCAP (Local Control Accountability Plan) and school site-specific SPSA (Single Plan for Student Achievement) which identifies short, intermediate, and long-term goals. Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Educational Services Division, the position is responsible for instructing students in an elementary school setting from grades TK through 6th Grade. The Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) teacher ensures each student experiences success in developing VAPA skills, implements culturally responsive teaching practices, instructs students in alignment with the California Standards for the Teaching Profession, and provides high-quality VAPA implementation. The VAPA teacher works in collaboration with classroom teachers, other Visual and Performing Arts teachers, and parents/guardians of students in their classes, and is responsive to inquiries, concerns, and feedback that they may offer.
