Job Summary

Job Summary

Position is responsible for instruction in dance techniques, choreography, and performance, while fostering students’ creativity, collaboration, and self-expression. The role includes planning and delivering engaging, standards-based lessons in dance; directing student performances; integrating arts education with other academic content when appropriate; and supporting school-wide arts initiatives. Position is also responsible for creating a classroom environment that develops in each student an awareness and appreciation of the role of theater, and that motivates each student to acquire knowledge of theater forms and principles.
