Job Summary
Job Summary
Performs specialized physical health care services under the training / supervision of a qualified school nurse e.g. gastrostomy tube feeding, urinary catheterization, ostomy, tracheotomy and/ or respiratory care. Assist school nurse in developing health care procedures, assess classroom environments for safety / hygiene, assess students for acute / chronic health care problems, contact family/agencies to make appropriate referrals as directed by school nurse, note health concerns, assessment data and family/agency contacts on appropriate records, record student assessments on MediCal billing logs, carries out behavior management techniques according to student IEP's and classroom rules.
Requirements / Qualifications
Valid California Vocational Nurse License and valid California driver's license.
