Requirements / Qualifications

Substitute information: Substitute work on-call and as needed. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent/greater degree and 12 units in Early Childhood Education. Per California requirements, a Child Development Assistant Permit is also required (per State Regulations). Candidates should have at least one year of experience working with preschool age children. In addition, proof of immunization/verification (Senate Bill 792) is required for Pertussis, Whopping Cough, Measles and Influenza as well as proof of tuberculosis clearance and a health screen report. Possession of a valid California Drivers License, CPR/First Aid certification, and TB clearance is also required. Applicants must have a high school diploma (or its recognized equivalent) and 12 units in Early Childhood Education. Per California requirements, a Child Development Assistant Permit is also required (per State Regulations). You will be required to pass an academic assessment test (conducted/provided by LESD).
