Job Summary

Under the direction of a program administrator, perform the necessary, non-clinical tasks to implement health policies and procedures while ensuring health compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards; and, provide health education information to teachers, parents, and children.

Requirements / Qualifications

SCOE Classified Application Must be 18 Years of Age. Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and two years of experience in health services, Head Start, State Preschool, or a related environment such as medical office or school nurse office. THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH YOUR APPLICATION: (ALL Applicants, both Internal & External MUST submit these documents with their application) - Valid Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) approved CPR and First Aid Certification covering adult, child, and infant (pediatric) using any of the following curricula: - American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI), or - American Heart Association (AHA), or - American Red Cross (ARC), or - Pediatric CPR and First Aid offered at accredited colleges and universities. Front & back of the card with expiration date. ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS: The following documents are not required at the time of application but will be required of the selected applicant prior to employment: DOJ Clearance/FBI/CACI, Tuberculosis Skin Test clearance, Pre-Employment Physical/Drug Screen clearance. Valid California driver's license. Mandated Reporter Training is required within the first six weeks of employment.
