BASIC FUNCTION: Work under the direction of the Director II of the Learning Handicapped and Emotionally Disturbed Special Day Classes. Performs duties of a school mental health clinician working with individual students and small groups with parent approval. Provides documentation on individual therapy goals and progress as needed and directed. Provides clinical counseling and case management services.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDJOIN Application DOCUMENTS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION: • Copy of CA LCSW or MFT or LPCC - Licensed as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) in the state of California or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). As long as the clinician is holding a Licensed Professional Counseling Intern certification, salary placement is limited to step one on the salary range for this classification. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • Graduation from an accredited graduate program with the receipt of a Master’s Degree in Counseling/Psychology or Social Work is required. • Two years of experience in a mental health setting under clinical supervision as required to qualify for the State recognized license
