Requirements / Qualifications
Ed-Join Application. Transcripts. Must be at least 18 years of age. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field and four years of increasing experience in technology support and database engineering in a large organization. Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert SQL Server and/or Linux Administrator certification preferred. A combination of education, training, and experience that could provide the desired skills, knowledge and abilities may be considered. LICENSE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Employee must arrange their own transportation. If using own vehicle in the course of employment, must provide proof of insurance. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The following will be required of the selected applicant prior to employment: Department of Justice Fingerprint clearance, Tuberculosis clearance & Pre-Employment Drug Screen clearance.

BASIC FUNCTION: Under the general direction of the assigned supervisor, the Database Engineer II will serve as a technical expert who manages and maintains mission critical business systems, prepares and presents recommendations for system enhancements and/or modifications, as well as creates and maintains standards and documentation. The Database Engineer II will work closely with financial systems team members and SCOE staff to leverage systems and applications to best align County Office of Education resources with the mission and goals.
BENEFITS: A Benefit Entitlement for health, dental and vision coverage is available for positions that are at least 4 hours per day. The amount of the entitlement is based on the number of hours worked per day.
