Riverbank Unified School District seeks Certificated Teacher (Mandarin) for the District in Riverbank, CA. Job Summary: Plan + write daily lesson plans for middle school students (grades 6-8) as req’d by law. Use effective teach technique to prov Mandarin instruc (whole & small group) for class. Adhere to Dist policies, proced, course of study, discipline plans. Achieve positive teacher/pupil relations. Gen enthusiasm for learning. Monitor + achieve on-task student behavior. Move students through curric based on mastery. Collect + assess class work daily. Admin appropriate testing as req’d. Utilize chalkboards + whiteboards. Utilize hands-on active for instruc delivery of curric as approp. Plan + prep instruc materials as needed for instruc units. Provide for needs of students using resources, supplemental materials, + varied strategies. Eval pupil progress + adj instruc as necc. Encourage responsibility for student tracking of student work, class projs etc. Maintain up-to-date student records. Use effective discipline technique. Report student progress to parents + make recs. Maintain classroom atmosphere conductive to learning + reflective of curriculum. Maintain written, clear lesson plans incl assignments approp to grade level. Monitor student work + behavior. Achieve + maintain positive staff/teacher/parent relations. Adjunct duties as assigned. Promo positive image of public edu. May participate in school functions incl: assemblies, award, competitions + field trips. Meet deadlines. Continue planned prof develpmnt. Follow District + school policies + procedures. Attend staff + grade level meetings. Work in conj w/ other supp staff working w/ students. Review curric materials.
