Job Summary
Job Summary
The position of School Social Worker assesses and identifies home, school, personal, and community factors that may affect a student's learning and general wellbeing; consults with teachers, administrators and other faculty/staff and parents regarding effective strategies for dealing with problems related to social emotional and academic needs; identifies and provides interventions for students and families that will assist in creating a positive learning environment; develops resiliency strategies, programs and services that nurture a positive development and assist the student to bond with the school community; collaborates with school teams including counseling, student services, multi-tiered system of support and intervention and with community-based organizations to support student success.

-Master's Degree Stipend of $1,200 per year/Doctorate Degree Stipend of $2,400.00 per year.
-Full-time position with employee medical, dental, and vision benefits available (includes spouse and dependent coverage). Employer contribution $19,000 (prorated based on start date).
-The San Benito County Office of Education provides an in-house induction program. This is a fully paid program for educators with preliminary credentials.
