Job Summary
The Art Teacher reports directly to the Principal. This teacher will collaborate with the instructional team and school leadership to deliver a comprehensive, engaging art education program in a fully remote learning environment. The role requires a commitment to creativity, digital instruction, and student-centered learning.
Requirements / Qualifications
Responsibilities: •Develop and deliver engaging virtual visual arts instruction aligned with state standards and school-wide academic goals. •Utilize digital platforms to foster student creativity and self-expression across all grade levels. •Design age-appropriate, remote-friendly lessons and projects that integrate art history, contemporary practices, and techniques. •Maintain a positive and organized virtual classroom environment that supports student participation and artistic exploration. •Support students in building digital portfolios and presenting their work in online exhibitions and showcases. •Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate art into interdisciplinary projects and school-wide online initiatives. •Provide timely, personalized feedback to students using the school’s learning management system (LMS). •Ensure accessibility of lessons and art resources to students learning from home. •Promote a positive online school culture through regular communication and virtual community building •Participate in remote staff meetings, professional development sessions, and collaborative planning. •Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
•California residency required
•Current California Credentialing in an appropriate content area
•Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards
•Preferred at least two years’ experience teaching
•High quality written and verbal communication skills
•High digital proficiency in Microsoft applications, Google Workspace, and Work OS platforms
•Ability to work well under pressure
•Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks to meet deadlines consistently
•Understanding of and ability to manage confidential information
•Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
•Experience working in a multi-cultural setting preferred
•Ability to work with a diverse and distributed student body and peer group
•Experience in coaching teachers to improve their instructional planning, instructional practice, and classroom culture
•Excellent results in increasing student achievement academically and social-emotionally
•A passion for teaching and genuine care for children
•High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment based on frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring
