Requirements / Qualifications
Prior to employment, all applicants are subject to a fingerprint clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ) and a fee for processing. Authorization of employment will not be granted until the fingerprint clearance from DOJ has been accepted.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience in commercial or institutional food service activities. Additional desired training may include the completion of community college courses in nutrition, supervision, introduction to microcomputers, work simplification, sanitation, menu planning and/or other related areas. You may attach a resume to your application so that you may include detailed job experience. Successfully complete the District's competitive hiring process: to include testing, interviews, background checks, medical exam given by a District appointed physician (when applicable); and the submission of a Tuberculosis Certificate showing applicant free from active tuberculosis within the past 4 years. **COPIES OF DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED MUST BE LEGIBLE** Applicants who fail to submit all required information will not be considered for employment. - Certification (A valid Food Safety or Food Protection Manager Certification accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) maintained throughout employment with the Moreno Valley Unified School District. Examples of accredited food protection manager certifications include: ServSafe Food Protection Manager; State Food Safety Manager (FSM); Certified Food Protection Professional (CFPP); Certified Professional – Food Safety (CP-FS); Food Protection Manager (FPM);)
- Proof of HS Graduation (High School Diploma/GED Certificate or equivalent.)
