Santa Rosa Academy is a K-12 public charter school, established in 2005 and chartered out of the Menifee Union School District. We serve students in Riverside county with site-based, home study, and a combination of home study/on-site programs accreditated by the Schools Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Job Summary
Description of Position Under the direction of the School Principal(s) or assigned designee, teach, and instruct students in a large group in the field of physical education. The incumbent in this position will plan, develop, organize, and assist in the operation of comprehensive physical education program for assigned students; perform other related functions as required. Teachers in this field also assist in athletic and recreation programs and clubs on campus.

Initial Salary Placement:
Initial step placement upon hire shall be determined by the Director of Human Resources and the Executive Director of Santa Rosa Academy, based on:
o Verification of degree/additional units (column placement) - Units acceptable to initial placement must have been earned subsequent to the B.A. or B.S. degree. Units beyond Column I are semester units. Quarter units are converted to semester units on a scale of three (3) units to two (2) semester units. (Quarter Units x .667 = semester units.) Official transcript or official credit certificate will be required as verification for Column placement within thirty (30) calendar days from first day of paid service. (Column 1-6)
o Verification of years of service (step placement) - Credit will be given for all verified full-time service. A year must equal at least 75% of the calendared work year days in one year. Credit will not be given for substitute or student teaching. Verification
Additional Information:
• Employees in this group will be subject to CalPERS and/or CalSTRS retirement systems, as applicable. Employees that work more 50% contract are eligible for retirement benefits.
• All employees of Santa Rosa Academy are paid on a semi-monthly pay cycle. (Please see payroll schedule on the SRA Website.)
• Employees that work 50% contract or more will be eligible for Health and Welfare Benefits. The school will contribute $10,000 toward the employees and/or families health and welfare benefits. Supplemental insurances for the employee and/or family are available at the employee’s expense.
