Job Summary
Job Summary
-Responsible for the supervision of three and four-year-old preschool children -Responsible for the daily classroom preparation and clean up -Assist and guide parent/community volunteers in the center -Implement Creative Curriculum for Preschool as identified -Responsible for observations and documentation of Child Outcomes -Ensure compliance with Title 22, Community Care Licensing for a childcare facility and policies and procedures as applicable -Conduct home visits and parent conferences with each family assigned during the school year, as per model design -Ensure a safe and healthy environment for preschool children -Support parent engagement at all levels of the department -Participate in all family activities and parent committee/workshops and meetings, as scheduled -Maintain accurate documentation as assigned -Appropriately redirect children’s behaviors when needed -Assist with diapering procedures as needed -Step into the role of the Teacher/Director in his/her absence
Requirements / Qualifications
-Associate Arts degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with the understanding that you must be enrolled in a program leading to a Bachelor’s Degree in order to fully qualify for the position. -Hold or qualify for a Teacher Permit; to include 24 units of ECE/CD courses, plus 16 General Education units. Visit https://www.ctc.ca.gov/credentials/req-child-dev for permit requirements. -One year of adult supervisory experience in a childcare and/or preschool setting. -Ability to lift and/or move up to 10-30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. -Valid California driver license and insured reliable transportation.
