Job Summary
The school nurse provides and manages a health services program to facilitate the student's optimal physical, mental, emotional, and social growth and development; supports the process by working to assure the health of students; and conducts the school health program at assigned school(s). Applicants must meet the requirements specified in the LUSD School Nurse position description.
Requirements / Qualifications
Possess the following: Valid California Driver's License Current California Registered Nurse License Valid California School Nurse Services Credential or willing to enroll in credential program (NOTE: In order to apply for the school nurse services credential applicant must have a baccalaureate or higher degree) Valid California State Audiometric Certificate or willing to obtain certification Valid CPR Adult, child and infant certificate and have knowledge of basic to advanced first aid principles Valid Community CPR and First Aid Instructor Certificate or willing to obtain certification Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance TB Clearance Required Application Materials: Letter of Introduction Resume Three Letters of Recommendation
