Job Summary
Job Summary
This position is responsible for coaching student-athletes in the fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training required to achieve individual and team success in the sport of volleyball. In addition to athletic development, the coach will provide guidance that fosters positive character development, including the promotion of moral values, pride in achievement, appropriate social behavior, self-discipline, and self-confidence. This role specifically seeks a coach with expertise and experience in volleyball.
Requirements / Qualifications
Resume highly recommended Required Education and Experience: • Completion of a CIF-mandated coaching education course (e.g., NFHS “Fundamentals of Coaching”). • Valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid certifications from an approved provider (e.g., American Red Cross or American Heart Association). • Completion of Concussion Awareness and Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) training, as required by CIF and California state law. • Possession of a valid California driver’s license, with a clear driving record (if responsible for transporting student-athletes). • Ability to pass a background check and obtain Live Scan fingerprint clearance. • Negative TB test clearance in accordance with school policy. • Knowledge of CIF and NFHS rules, game regulations, and procedures preferred. • Prior coaching experience at the high school level or higher preferred.
Additional Requirements (upon offer of employment): • Criminal background clearance (Live Scan) • Negative drug screening • Current TB clearance
