Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Elementary Physical Education (P.E.) Teacher to join our school community. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive P.E. program for students in grades TK-8. The goal is to promote physical fitness, healthy habits, and a positive attitude toward physical activity in a fun and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Development: Design and implement age-appropriate physical education lessons that align with state standards and the school's educational goals. Instruction: Deliver engaging and inclusive P.E. classes that cater to a diverse student population, ensuring all students are active participants. Assessment: Monitor and assess students' physical development, skills, and progress, providing feedback to students, parents, and school administration. Classroom Management: Maintain a safe and positive learning environment, managing student behavior effectively during P.E. activities. Extracurricular Activities: Organize and supervise school sports events, intramural activities, and physical fitness programs. Professional Development: Stay current with the latest P.E. teaching methods, trends, and best practices through ongoing professional development. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, school staff, and parents to support the overall educational experience of students. Health and Safety: Ensure all physical education equipment is properly maintained and used safely. Educate students on health and safety practices related to physical activities. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field. Teaching certification for elementary education. Experience: Prior experience teaching physical education at the elementary level is preferred. Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
