Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Equity and Inclusion Administrator, the School Nurse provides a comprehensive school health program for the assessment, evaluation, maintenance, and improvement of students’ health to enhance their academic success and quality of life.
Requirements / Qualifications
Active California Clear or Preliminary School Nurse Services Credential. Comply with state and federal regulations regarding CPS, IDEA, and 504. Ability to plan, organize, and maintain accurate records. Collect and analyze data, report trends and outcomes. Prepare clear and accurate written and oral reports. Design appropriate training for parents/guardians/caregivers, teachers, and staff related to student care. Communicate and interact professionally with staff, students, and families. Analyze situations and adopt effective courses of action. Possession of a valid California driver's license and reliable transportation. TB Clearance. Obtain Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance through the DOJ and FBI. Pass a work styles/ behavior survey

Altus Schools offers a unique learning environment tailored to each student's academic and personal needs. Our program features custom-built course plans, one-on-one teacher support, individualized college and career planning, and flexible scheduling.
Our instructional model is designed for students seeking an alternative to traditional schooling. Based on a "University Model," students engage in independent study and attend labs or tutorials 1-2 times per week. Selection Procedure: Selected applicants will first complete a work-styles/behavioral survey. Candidates who successfully pass this initial phase will advance to an interview with a panel of School Administrators. Those who excel in this stage will move on to a final interview with the Deputy Superintendent of School Services and Founding Director and the Superintendent of School Services and Founder. We do not invite all applicants to an interview. We do not hire everyone who applies, and we do not discuss our hiring decisions with applicants.

Compensation and Benefits:
Employees are eligible for coverage beginning the first day of the month following sixty (60) days of employment. The benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, chiropractic, and life insurance, and a variety of employee-paid voluntary benefits.
