P.A.S.E.S : Positive Academic and Social Emotional Support A class using Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) for students with emotional needs is a structured and supportive learning environment designed to foster both academic and social-emotional development. Please see Link (The PASES Program) for more detailed information. SDC Teacher (3rd-5th) at Helen Lehman Elementary School SDC Teacher (K-2nd) at Luther Burbank Elementary School *In-district only applicants accepted for the first 5 days of posting. Requirements / Qualifications
Credential Requirements: - Education Specialist Mild/Mod , Mod/Severe, or Extensive Support Needs - English Learner Authorization CLAD (EL authorization) Required Qualifications: - Knowledge of teaching methods and instructional strategies appropriate to a variety of disabilities. - Monitor and assess student progress on a regular basis. - Provides instruction on an individual or small group basis Desired: - Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with staff, students, parents and community. - Coordinate Special Education services with general education for individuals with exceptional needs. - Supports students in social skills development in the classroom, at recess, and other activities. - Continues planned professional self-improvement and the willingness to adapt and grow within the educational field.
