Under supervision, to operate multi-reeled, tandem lawn mower, tractors and trucks and medium-sized power driven equipment in lawn edging, dirt moving and grounds material transporting and to do related work as required. Knowledge of: Operation, use and routine maintenance of grounds power equipment; methods, supplies and tools used in groundskeeping areas; safety procedures involved in the use of gang mowers. Ability to: Maintain assigned work schedule; operate and perform basic service and repairs on power equipment; after appropriate training safely use machines, equipment, and tools related to job duties; understand and carry out oral and written instructions; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships. Experience: One year of gardening, grounds maintenance or farming, including operation of power drive field equipment, which has provided the applicant with the knowledge and abilities listed above. Education: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
