Birney Elementary School delivers a whole child focus by providing standard-based instruction guided by on-going assessment and individual needs. Our successful candidate has and can do: • Valid California Administrative Services Credential • Proactively and authentically connect with students, staff, and parents throughout the school day and during extracurricular activities • Prioritize duties, assignments, and projects based upon deadlines and situational circumstances • Stay current with the most relevant and research-based topics related to education and leadership • Puts students first • Organize, coordinate, and administer programs and activities related to curriculum and instruction at the school • Evaluate teachers and staff throughout the school year via formal and informal observations and meetings • Communicate effectively and concisely (oral and written) • Think critically and outside the box (innovative mindset) • Handle stressful and demanding situations with poise and patience (growth mindset) • Model humor and compassion when appropriate • Handle criticism and self-reflect/evaluate on a regular basis • Analyze situations, both individually and as a team, and adopt an effective course of action
Requirements / Qualifications
Applicant must hold a current California Administrative Services Credential. First round interviews will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. Second round interviews will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025.
